We Believe in Communion

At Mountain Valley Chapel in Gold Bar, Washington, we believe communion is a sacred and powerful act of worship. It is not a ritual to be rushed through but a moment of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude for what Jesus Christ has done for us. When we take the bread and the cup, we remember His body broken and His blood shed for the forgiveness of our sins. Communion draws us back to the cross, the place where love and mercy met and salvation was secured for all who believe.
We celebrate what the Bible calls “the Lord’s Supper” as a time of unity and reflection for every follower of Christ. The bread reminds us of His sacrifice, and the cup reminds us of His covenant, a promise that still holds true today. It is a reminder that Jesus not only died for us but also invites us into ongoing fellowship with Him.
At Mountain Valley Chapel, we practice open communion, which means all who have placed their faith in Jesus are welcome to participate. It does not matter your background, denomination, or past if you belong to Christ, you belong at His table. Communion is a time for believers to examine their hearts, receive His grace, and remember that we are one body united by one Savior.
If you are looking for a church near Gold Bar, Sultan, or Index where the cross is central and communion is celebrated with reverence and joy, we invite you to join us. Come to the table and remember the One who gave everything for you.
“Do this in remembrance of me.” — Luke 22:19 (ESV)
